Kabini is one of the most popular wildlife destinations in India. probably because of its easy accessibility, lush green landscape surrounding a large picturesque lake, and fantastic sightings of large herds of elephants.

NAGARHOLE

Once the exclusive hunting preserves of the Maharajas of Mysore, Nagarhole National Park was renamed after the late Rajiv Gandhi, but still called by its popular old name. This entire stretch of Nilgiris Biosphere (Nagarhole, Bandipur and Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary) is one of the finest remaining habitats of the Asian Elephants.

The forest is home to at least four prominent tribes - Jenu Kurubas, Betta Kurubas, Hakki Pikki, Yeravas. Occasionally you could see, how the Jenu Kurubas extract honey from the aggressive Indian Rock Bees.

Irpu Falls is located about 14 km from Nagarhole, at the base of Brahmagiri Range that forms the border between Karnataka and Kerala. It is located near Rameshwara temple. The beauty of Irpu falls is heightened after the rains. The well marked trail of the fall’s winds past a sacred banyan tree before disappearing into the forest.
