BAGDOGRA AIRPORT– PHUNTSHOLING (01 NTS) – THIMPHU (02 NTS) – WANGDI (01 NTS) – PARO (02NTS)

Day 01: ARRIVAL AT BAGDOGRA AIRPORT - PHUNTSHOLING

Pick up from Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Phuntsholing (165 Kms, 04 Hrs).Arrive at Phuntsholing (298Mts / 977Fts). Depending on your arrival time,the Trip Leader will assist in procurement of permit to Bhutan. The permit issuance takes time depending on the rush. In case the permit is not processed on the day of arrival then it will be issued next day before the start for next destination. Overnight at Hotel

Day 02: PHUNTSHOLING – THIMPHU

After breakfast and after completionof Visa / Permit formalities assisted by our Bhutan representative board the vehicle for transfer to Thimphu (2320Mts / 7656Fts, 180 Kms / 06 to 07 Hrs).Evening leisure.Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, proceed towards covering Sangaygang Viewpoint (BBS Tower) which is located at an elevation of (2,865 Mts /9,397 Fts), which offers an exquisite view of the whole town of Thimphu. Visit Buddha Point (KuenselPhodong), Institute for ZorigChusum (Traditional Art & Craft School) (Entrance fee INR 100 person Adult / Child) (Closed on Saturdays , Sundays, National Holidays, Summer & Winter Vacations), Textiles Museum (Entrance fee INR 100 person Adult / Child), Handicrafts Shops (Closed on Saturdays, Sundays& National Holidays), Zangthopelri Lhakhang (Monastery), Simply Bhutan (Entrance fee INR 300 person Adult / Child)(Closed on National Holidays), Motithang Takin Preservation Centre (Entrance fee INR 300 person Adult / Child) (Closed every Monday). Overnight at Hotel.

Day 04:THIMPHU – PUNAKHA / WANGDI

After breakfast, drive to Punakha (1200Mts / 3936Fts, 77 Kms / 03 to 3½ Hrs) / Wangdi (Wangdiphodrang) (1350Mts / 4430Fts, 70 Kms / 03 to 3½ Hrs). Punakha / Wangdi is the last town on the highway before entering Central Bhutan. The drive is over Dochu La pass (3080Mts / 10102Fts) which is very scenic with fascinating view of mountains of Bhutan. Visit Punakha Dzong,(Entrance fee INR 500 person Adult / Child).If time permits visit the Suspension Bridgeand then proceed to Chimi Lhakhang (Monastery). Overnight at the Hotel in Wangdi.

Day 05:PUNAKHA / WANGDI – PARO

After breakfast, transfer to Paro (2134Mts /7000Fts, 135 Kms / 05 Hrs). Enroute stop at Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Garden (Entrance fee INR 100-person Adult / Child). On arrival at Paro, check in to the hotel. Afternoon leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 06:PARO

After breakfast, visit Dungtse Lhakhang. Later stop at Bird eye viewpoint. From this point beautiful picturesque view of Paro Valley can be seen the small Paro International airport amidst looks stunning. Ideal time to visit here would be between 10-11 AM. Proceed to visit TaDzong(Entrance fee INR 25 person Adult / Child) (National Museum-Closed on National Holiday), RinpungDzong(Entrance fee INR 500 person Adult / Child.Overnight at Hotel.

OR

PARO - FULL DAY HIKE TO TAKTSANG LHAKHANG (TIGER`S NEST)

Start the day early for a day hike to Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger's Nest Monastery)(Entrance fee INR 1000-person Adult / Child). The hike which is all the way uphill takes about 2 /3 hours one way through pine forests. Afternoon leisure for shopping at Paro market. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 07:PARO AIRPORT DROP

After breakfast, Drop off to Paro Airport for taking onward connection.
