On arrival at Ernakulam railway station / Cochin airport, placard pick up & transfer to Munnar (about 4 hrs drive). Check in at the hotel by afternoon.
Depending on the time availability, cover the following places: Tea Museum @ 1500 Hrs followed by Blossom Park, Pothenmedu view point. Stay overnight in Munnar.
Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountain range in Kerala state. This hill station is surrounded by rolling hills dotted with tea plantations established in the late 19th century. Eravikulam National Park, a habitat for the endangered mountain goat Nilgiri tahr, is home to the Lakkam Waterfalls, hiking trails and 2,695m-tall Anamudi Peak etc …
After leisurely breakfast, visit Eravikulam National park (Rajamalai), a top peak of Munnar where you may see Nilgiri Tahr (mountain goats). Followed by visit to Mattupetty Dam, Eco-Point, Kundala Dam etc. You can also enjoy boating in the Lake (optional). Stay overnight in Munnar.
After the early breakfast, check out from the hotel by 0800 hrs. Drive to Kumarakom (approx. 5 1/2 hr drive). Check into the Houseboat by 1230 hrs. Cruise through the famed
Backwaters of Kerala. Have Lunch & dinner on board. Stay overnight on board.
As Kerala has a unique landscape with prosperous fresh water body, to manage efficient heavy cargo moving, in olden days, huge water vessels were introduced which float royally and worth fully, through the backwater. Those vessels were named "Kettuvalloms", are the ancestors of what we call ‘houseboat’. These houseboats mainly target cruise through back water villages, coconut lagoons, rivers and canals.
Check out from the houseboat by 0900 hrs, after the breakfast.
Drive to Cochin airport/ railway station in time for flight / train. If time permits roam around Cochin & Fort Cochin area.
