Feedback
Let me first thank you and your team for organizing such an excellent holiday for us. This trip to Ladakh would not have been such memorable had we not stayed in Ladakh Sarai. To give an overview, we are extremely happy with all the facilities and people in Ladakh Sarai.
The place and the hospitality of the people is excellent. We have never shared any bond with people in other hotels we stayed. However in Ladakh Sarai, it was like staying in a friends house with people (Govind and Suraj) offering us tea whenever they meet us. The food is excellent and we have never tasted so much varieties of food any where. The entire management team there helped us a lot in explaining the tour and were always there to help us when ever we needed assistance which is unheard of in any other hotels. The drivers were very professional and navigated the tough terrain of Ladakh with professional expertise (particularly the person who took us to Nubra and Pangong).
The best way to describe the hotel is home away from home with excellent natural landscapes. Thanks a lot for you and your teams' help in organizing such an excellent trip

| Trip to Leh - Ladakh |
The Ladakh Sarai is an eco resort situated little away from bustling Leh town. This has about 14 yurt-style cottages (Mongolian style cottage) nestled in a beautiful grove of willow, poplar, apricot and apple trees. Resort just a 10 minute (7 km.) scenic drive away through winding streets, quaint bazaars, and desert stretches.
All the yurts are hand sewn and modelled after the traditional Central Asian and Mongolian "Akois.” They are draped with local, soft colored fabrics from top to bottom: pillowed tapestry ceilings, canvas walls, and traditional rugs, all inviting you in after a long day on the dry Ladakhi plateau. All rooms heated with Bukharis between 15th April to 30th June and 25th August to 15th Oct. All rooms fitted with LCD Television with Airtel Satellite and Intercom.
The moon will shine in your window as you read by candlelight – the perfect romantic atmosphere. Wash the dust away in solar heated showers, and feel good about your minimum impact on the fragile Ladakhi ecosystem. Sit outside your private yurt and soak in the sun as the breeze gently wafts through the willow branches, and let the grass tickle your feet. Yurt style living is perfect for families, groups, company retreats, or the lone nomad who seeks something different and familiar in their accommodation.
All water is heated by solar panels, yurts are low to the ground and made of local bamboo and canvas, and we minimize our electrical dependency. Plentiful gardens adorn winding pathways through the resort, and the diverse arbour grove provides shade for our yurts. The Sarai is surrounded by the farmland of the small village of Ayu, so it is sure to stay quiet and maintain a neighbourhood feel for years to come. Our friendly staff wears traditional Ladakhi dress and treat each guest with familiar Ladakhi hospitality. Each room is decorated with local materials and adorned with fine crafts. |

GREEN SARAI:
The Sarai also has a growing edible foods garden which provides most ingredients for the meals. Enjoy fresh, local, organically grown food cooked to perfection breakfast, lunch, and dinner. | "Ladakh Sarai is the perfect getaway for those who wish to stay within a short distance from Leh Town and yet be away from the hustle and bustle / traffic. The hotel is an Eco-Compatible resort, naturally merging with the surroundings , providing a beautiful view of the Snow-clad mountains. Mr. Rigzin Namgyal is a very proactive and hands on person, easily accessible for the guests at all times. Mr. Lotus is a resourceful person who looks after the guests and Mr. Gobind is very versatile in the catering food & drinks to the guests. The food served i.e. breakfast, lunch & dinner was simply superb and pan Indian. It had south Indian specialities like Upma, Kandha Poha, North Indian items like Roti, Chapathi, Dhaal, Chaval and even Italian Pizza, pasta and Ladakh cuisine like Momos, Butter Tea,Noodles and varied desserts. Our stay during June (22nd To 28th), 2011 was fantastic and the local sightseeing trips such as Leh town Sightseeing, Pangong Lake visit, Nubra valley stay, Magnetic hill and rafting in Indus river, were well planned & arranged. Overall we would rate the resort very very high with regard to food, accommodation, comfort & service" |

| "We were a group of 12 - 3 families at Ladakh Sarai from the 21st of April to 24th of April 2012, having the time of our life. An excellent host with an infectious passion to ensure guest comforts and 7 star hospitality. Very courteous and helpful staff who are ever smiling and delivering more than expected. The tents and bukharas are a wonder to be experienced and the views from the hotel itself are spectacular. The food prepared by Mr. Khan the khansama is just fantastic and they are willing to cook whatever you desire. The kids had the chef on his toes and he served us all with a smile. What is intriguing is the spirit and drive behind Ladakh Sarai. This is not a hotel - It is an experience that we will all cherish forever. To all visiting LEH, a stay with Ladakh Sarai on your itinerary will make your trip all the more memorable." |
