DAY 01: DELHI – SHIMLA On arrival at Delhi airport, pick up & transfer to Shimla (about 340 kms - 7 ½ hr drive).
Check in at the hotel. Evening spend time at leisure. Vehicle is at your disposal for local use. Have Dinner & overnight stay.
DAY 02: SHIMLA Have breakfast at leisure. Later explore places in & around Shimla.
Major sightseeing places are as below:- Jakhu Hills - Two km from town, at a height of 8000ft, offers beautiful views of Shimla town & snow covered
Himalayas. One of the oldest temples in region, dedicated to Lord Hanuman temple is situated on the top of the hill.
State museum - This is the abode to excellent paintings, handicrafts, textiles and stone carvings of Himachal
Pradesh.
Chadwick fall - The sight of the amazing waterfall of Chadwick being surrounded by thick forests and bushes from all
around is very exciting.
Summer hill - This hilly path with trees shading the way is ideal for a pleasurable walk.
Mall - Main shopping street of Shimla, also has many clubs, bars & restaurants. Christ Church - Situated on the Ridge, has a majestic appearance & inside it has stained glass windows which
represents faith, hope, charity, patience & humanity.
Mashobra - About 13 kms away from Shimla, has several picnic spots. Kufri - About 16 kms from Shimla. Place for skiing (season – Jan & Feb).
DAY 03: SHIMLA - MANALI After early breakfast, check out from the hotel by 0830 hrs. Drive to Manali (about 260 km - 7 hr drive). En route visit Kullu & Manikaran.
On arrival at Manali, check in at the resort. Have dinner & overnight stay in Manali.
Major sightseeing places enroute:- Bishweshwar Temple, Bajaura - Located about 5 kms from Kullu town, It is the most attractive stone temple of Kullu
Valley. This temple, built in the ninth century in pyramid style.
Adi Brahma Temple, Khokhan - Located about 4 kms from Kullu town is a massive wooden structure.
Manikaran - Situated in Parbati Valley at the distance of 32 km from Kullu. The water from the hot sulphur spring at
Manikaran is said to have medicinal value and is a cure for number of chronic ailments. Manikaran is also known for
temple of 'Lord Shiva'.
DAY 04: MANALI Morning drive to Rohtang Pass / snow point with packed breakfast. By late afternoon back to Manali. Evening spend time at leisure. Have early dinner & overnight stay. Rohtang Pass: located about 55 kms from Manali town is the gateway to twin valleys – Lahaul & Spiti. During Jan &
Feb these mountain slopes are snow clad & they turn into perfect skiing slopes. The permission to travel on this road
is given by Indian army after they clear the snow and inspect the road for its fitness and safety for movement of person
and the vehicles.
On the way to Rohtang at Beas Nallah one has to cross the river Beas. This river starts from here (Beas Kund). En
route one can find many food stalls serving variety of foods. You can get a cold drink as shopkeepers keep then in
running water to maintain the temperature as there is no need of a refrigerator here. One can relish the food by sitting
inside the low running water of the river Beas..
Nehru Kund - Just about 6 kms from Manali, one can see pure water rushing out of rocks.
Kothi: Just about 6 kms from Manali, one can see pure water rushing out of rocks.
Gulaba: Located about 20 kms from Manali, one of the picnic spots.
Rahla Fall - This water fall is from one of the branches of River Beas. The height of the water fall is nearly 50Mts. This
fall is 27Kms from Manali.
Marhi: This place is as famous as Rohtang pass. Fully covered with snow, all kind of water sports are available.
Whenever Rohtang pass is closed due to bad weather conditions, people will be allowed to visit up to this place. The
place is surrounded by lush green meadows. All kind of restaurants (both indoor and outdoor) are available for
people. Marhi is 35Kms from Manali.
Solang Valley: For all you who just want to enjoy breathtaking natural beauty or want to try a hand at skiing then
Solang Valley is the place to see. This picnic spot has a 300 meter ski lift which attracts a lot of crowd. It is also known
as Snow Point.
DAY 05: MANALI Have breakfast at leisure. Later visit Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery at Naggar (about 20 km from Manali), Vashist Kund (hot spring water, located about 7 kms from Manali).
Afternoon, you visit Hadimba temple & evening for shopping.
DAY 06: MANALI – CHANDIGARH After early breakfast, check out from the resort by 0830 hrs, drive to Chandigarh (about 290 KM – 8 hrs drive). Check in at the hotel. Evening boating at Sukhna lake. Overnight stay in Chandigarh
DAY 07: CHANDIGARH - DELHI Have breakfast at leisure. Check out from the hotel. Visit Rock Garden. Drive back to Delhi. Drop to Delhi airport.
