Must visit place
Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta, located about 15 kms from the park entrance is a wonderful place with temple on top. As name suggests, most part of the year, the place is covered by mist. Animal sighting is also quite high here.

| MUDUMALAI |
Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary was the first sanctuary in South India. The land is extremely varied with hills, valleys, waterways & swamps. Area includes tropical moist deciduous forests, dry deciduous forests & scrub forests. The range of Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary is the same as Bandipur ( adjacent sanctuary ) but the Mudumalai has two different features - i.e, Mayor River & Closeness to the Nilgiri mountain ranges. The Mayor river in this area shapes a sequence of spectacular view on its way from Mysore to Ooty.
